Residential Home Performance Expert, Program Manager for Southern Nevada’s Home Performance with Energy Star Program, Certified Home Energy Rater (HERS), Certified Green Home Verifier (LEED for Homes), Certified National Green Building Verifier (NAHB), owner of Home Energy Connection, LLC and Board Member of Solar NV, the local chapter of the American Solar Energy Society.

 Les Lazareck earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara focusing on alternative energy design.  Founded Home Energy Connection, LLC in 2006 to provide home performance consulting for existing homes.  Applying his knowledge in residential home performance, Mr. Lazareck’s production home is now a net zero electric home.  He plans to use the excess power generated to charge a plug-in electric car that he will buy next year.  His next goal is to eliminate his use of natural gas and be carbon neutral.
