TBI Home Makeover Project:
Turning tragedy into support for the long journey back from Traumatic Brain Injury
On June 2, 2002, her husband, "breadwinner" of the family, suffered a massive traumatic brain injury when the ladder fell while he was building a tree house for their kids. His injury threw her into a tail spin that has kept her "burning the candle at both ends" for the last six years to make ends meet. Running a business from home, taking care of her family and trying to manage day to day, has left her spread thin, with health problems of her own (morton's neuroma and rheumatoid arthritis) and a house in severe disrepair.
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) recovery is a long, painful journey for any family. TBI survivors deal both with physical trauma and emotional trauma. Prior to his injury, he worked as a geophysical engineer.
Six years later, the family is still traveling the long road. The kids are now 11 and 7. They have no memory of their Dad prior to his injury.

I am Tony Payson : The Appreciated Painter.
I will be acting as a project coordinator, along with assisting everyone involved in getting all contractors & businesses up to date on all donations & volunteers that will be involved with this worthy Home Makeover Project .
Participating are many members of the City Care Business Network. The members are respectable and dedicated businesses partners.
I have put together an awesome group of contractors willing to donate their time, services, & materials to the project. We still need donations on many levels to complete the goals for this home makeover.
Additionally, Las Vegas media personality, Lark Williams and will help us tell the story of how Traumatic Brain Injury can devastate entire families, in a broad variety of ways.
In this case, the home gradually fell into severe disrepair after he became disabled and she continued to "burn the candle at both ends" to make ends meet. Six years after the injury, we hope to help change their lives.
This makeover will be documented online. All participating businesses to be featured on www.HomeValueSolution.com and on Lark's List, a program currently in development for local charities, businesses and residents.

Where to cut the walkway from the foyer to the kitchen was a definite "design dilemma" that was resolved by designer Nicole Roberts.
