We're so pleased to introduce you to the folks behind Olive Crest Nevada.
If you haven't heard of Olive Crest, you need to. They work tirelessly
to meet the individual needs of kids in crisis - they provide safe homes,
counseling, education for youths and parents and more.

Olive Crest offers many innovative programs that reflect their conviction that strengthening the family is one of the most powerful ways to help the children,
and help them heal.

With unwavering compassion, Olive Crest maintains a lifelong commitment
to the youth and family that they serve even after they've graduated from their
programs.  Please listen in to Lark's recent Webcast with Ken Lange, Executive Director of Olive Crest Nevada.

Because the scope of their services is so extensive, we can't do them justice in
this short paragraph ..  you really need to listen-in to the Webcast or read the
transcript to fully appreciate the good work done by Olive Crest, including their
newest program addition ...

"Things have not been going well in Southern Nevada for families .. with our economic crisis, the loss of jobs and the stress it puts on families, we've expanded our program to include what we call in the business "Family Preservation" .. that really just means that we're here to support families, to help them grow and stay together, to increase capacity." - Ken Lange

CHARITY EVENTS

  • November 30 thru December 11
    Lark Williams Toy Drive
    for At-Risk and Abused Children
to benefit children served by Olive Crest

Holding a toy drive for abused and at-risk children is an important measure of how these kids see their community caring for them.

And at the end of the day, to watch the appreciation of the kids and to get a hug and a thank you really tells us a lot about their capacity to feel the
support, and to feel that they're cared about. Sure, they like the toy,
it's great fun but it's really about the exchange of love, and that they know they're thought of and acknowledged.

  • Success Report!
    New Vista's Organically Grown Produce

We're pleased to report that the first sale of New Vista's home-grown organic produce Whole Foods was a huge success.  The produce sold out and Whole Foods has invited them to come back with their next harvest from the organic garden at The New Vista Ranch. Keep your eyes peeled for our next sale date! Great Job to Todd & Lance for all their hard work in the garden. Proceeds from the sale directly benefit the "Gardeners" at the New Vista Ranch who have lovingly cared for the garden.
