IS YOUR COMPANY MOVING?
Make sure all your ducks are in a row when you move into a new building. Follow this list to stay right on track.

Moving Checklist

Moving to a new building that hasn’t had telephone service before?  Use this checklist to ensure your new service is up and running on schedule with no hiccups.

For Your General Contractor or Building Manager

q Request low voltage wiring

q Is a dedicated power circuit within 6’ of TelePacific’s equipment?

q Are the occupancy certificate and signed lease completed?

q Is insurance required to work in the building?

q Do you have building access (contact person and hours)?

q Contact the local telephone company engineer for cabling

q Has the address been validated with the city?

For Your Local Telephone Company

q What is the estimated “in service” date for the terminal?

q Who is the local telephone company engineer?

q Who is the electrical engineer sub-contractor contact?

Important: TelePacific requires at least two week’s notice

after the local Telephone Company construction work has

been completed and is ready for circuit delivery.

For Your Vendor

q When will the telephone equipment be ready?

q Where will the telephone equipment go?

q What is the location of the MPOE (minimum point of entry)

and the Telco rooms?

q Are cable pairs available if DMARC extension is required?

What kind of equipment will be installed?

q Does the vendor require “rack-mounted” equipment?

q Is your telephone prefix (rate center) changing?

Does it meet TelePacific’s requirements:

q 3/4”–thick backboard for our equipment

q 2 x 2’ unobstructed space for our equipment
