Connected Contractors Bring You More Bang For Your Buck

Remnant Carpet ..  it could be a solution

Deal with a contractor who is well connected, and you’ll likely get A LOT of extra value. A well-connected contractor is a solution provider. They tap their extensive range of resources and connections to help you get your project done right, and on budget.

In these times, we’re seeing companies who you'd think are competitors, actually work together behind the scenes to get the job done, to meet budgets, to find solutions. What a stress reliever to have these networks of experienced, well connected contractors on your side.

For example, Tom Chisholm, President of Awesome Flooring, Inc. a Las Vegas based flooring company, showed us how remnant carpet pieces can often be used for a single room situation for a fraction of the sq. ft. cost.

Because of his connections he can sometimes get a remnant piece to fit the need, and charge a flat fee for the carpet and installation. Tom says it takes a good connection and a little luck with the timing.  >> more

Attention Home Sellers:

Short Sales .. Low on Price, Long on Time

Everyone knows a lot of people have lost a lot of equity and refinances are out of the picture, but it’s certainly a buyers market.

In that world, sellers who are trying to get involved with buyers right now have to compete with the bank owned / foreclosure properties.  The problem with that for buyers is that they're dealing with banks, not realtors.  So banks don’t have to respond within 72 hrs as in a real transaction that occurs with a selling agent and a buying agent.  Banks can sometimes takes up to 100 days to even get an answer back to find out if they’ll settle on the price that’s been accepted.

Even if you're a seller in this buyers market,
you're able to compete with those prices.

A lot of buyers are eager to get in and buy while the market is at a great interest rate and purchases out there are 30 – 40% below what they were a year ago.  Unfortunately, after they’ve made an offer, waited 90 days and the bank doesn’t make up their mind, the buyer withdraws their offer and are basically looking for a true seller or homeowner, and avoiding the foreclosed properties, bank owned properties or short sales.
